Dear students, parents and guardians,
As you know this year started out tough. Thank you for all the thoughts, kind words and support.
We have welcomed many new members of staff to our school this year. Ms. Fenandez who has taken over for Ms. Garcia as a Spanish teacher, Mr. Zidak who has taken over Mr. Cavellerano as a NO teacher, Mr. Nordin has joined as an extra SVA teacher, Ms. Pajic as an extra Science Assistant and Mr. Flodgren a new Swedish teacher.
We have had a busy term so far, including the Art Competition about Anti-Bullying and the Childrens Convention. Congratulations to the winning students of the Art Competition Sofia Veltkamp and Judit Skäringer.
National tests have begun for grade 6 and grade 9 will begin week 17.
In the upcoming weeks we will prepare for IES Eurovision that will be held week 20.
Year level breakfasts will continue after the Sport break. Grade 6 breakfast will be week 11, grade 5 week 12 and grade 4 week 13.
The grade 9 trip to Poland has been arranged for the last time this year. A sad decision but I have to think about the students security first. I will look into arranging a new tradition for future years.
Feedback from the November 2019 student survey showed positive results in regards to students feeling safe in school. The Head Office also provided positive feedback including; great classroom structure, cleaner school, polite students and motivated staff. This year's annual survey will be available on School Soft on March 2nd, 2020.
It was wonderful to see so many parents involved at the PTA meeting and I am looking forward to a great rest of the semester with exciting upcoming events.
I wish you all a wonderful week.
